Bio
Cynthia serves as the Vice President of Operations at AREY Group, bringing over 25 years of multifamily experience to the role. She is responsible for overseeing the corporate and portfolio operations. This includes Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities, Training, Marketing and the Regional Managers. Her primary focus is leveraging operations efficiencies applying her strong financial acumen within the AREY portfolio.
Prior to joining AREY, was based on the west coast serving as Sr. Vice President of Operations for Sequoia and led the oversight of a portfolio valued at $3.8B totaling 14,000 units and over 55 assets. This included market rate, value-add, and student properties located in both urban and suburban markets located in California, Oregon, Washing and Nevada. Before joining Sequoia, Cynthia was based in Tallahassee, FL where she oversaw a portfolio of 55 properties located in northern and central Florida that included 25 student properties. This portfolio was owned by two REITs from Dallas and New York.
She was also an integral part of the rebranding of her previous firm, twice, overseeing the Finance and Human Resources Departments, and the management takeover of over thirty-five acquisitions.
Cynthia is a graduate of Louisiana State University having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance and Management. After receiving her graduate degree, she also completed four post-graduate courses in Real Estate Finance at LSU. When she isn’t working, you can find her hanging out by her pool, enjoying large family gatherings, or loving on her pup, Brandi.
